Brand New But Cheap Retro J12 Nike Air Jordan Review

The Retro J12 is the latest model of Nike Air Jordan collection. If you are familiar with all the mighty Air Jordan shoe collection you would certainly know what this new model stands for just as the diehard fan of Michael Jordan would definitely want one.
Unfortunately for those already drooling for a pair of Retro J12 the price may be a bit stiff, especially for those who like to buy original retro J12 or any Jordan shoes. If you are living on minimum wage an original J12 would definitely hurt, in fact the price can surely hurt anyone on the pocket unless they are rich.

Prepare Your Feet for Point Shoes in Ballet Dancing

Training your feet to work in pointe shoes often starts long before you even go up in them. There are many hours of preparation that go into strengthening your feet so that you can make the transition from demi pointe to pointe more easily. When a five year old starts her ballet training, one of the first things that she will learn is good toes naughty toes where she will start working her feet by pointing and flexing them. The exercises gradually get more complex so that by the time she is around twelve or thirteen the feet have strengthened sufficiently to allow her to gradually start pointe work.

In the first year of pointe training, the girls only wear their pointe shoes for short amounts of time, perhaps at the end of a regular class when the feet are warm. It is often not until the second year or later that dancers can wear their pointe shoes for an entire class.

In the beginning of pointe shoe training, the focus is on attaining the full pointe position correctly and then of course building the strength to stay up there. Here are where all the fundamental ballet dancing lessons come in of pulling up and engaging your abdominals to enable you to support your weight on pointe. It is hard work, but with enough practice you can make it look easy and natural.

When first starting out with pointe shoe work, the barre is used continuously with both hands on, as it helps you align yourself while you get acquainted with your pointe shoes. In the beginning your will normally include slow rises, ankle circles, and gentle stretches for the feet. There will also be lots of plies, releves and simple exercises in the centre to train the feet to work against the resistance of the stiffer shoe. You will also have to practise your regular exercises such as tendus, rond de jambe and fondu to get used to dancing in the pointe shoe.

Once your feet are stronger you will practise relieves on one leg, first at the barre and then in the centre. As you progress you will start only holding the barre with one hand and doing more in the centre.

Allegro in pointe shoes will prove quite a challenge in the beginning, as accomplished dancers are smooth, light and quiet in their landings. In pointe shoes the feet will have to work harder to push off the floor and even harder to land with graceful control.

Ultimately you work to do everything on pointe that you normally do on demi pointe. In this way the study of pointe work will greatly improve your existing technique.

Hiking Boots Comparison between Men’s and Women’s

My wife and I love to go hiking. In fact, we spent our honeymoon in Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon. But before we ever set foot on a trail, we went out and purchased the most important piece of equipment necessary for weeks of non-stop, hiking; hiking boots.

Even though we would be hiking the same trails, under the same conditions, the basic differences between male and female feet meant we wouldn't be getting the same boots. So what are the differences in our feet that make the construction of mens hiking boots and womens hiking boots so different.

Most obviously, women's feet are shorter and narrower than men's feet. This in itself is expected, since (in general) women are shorter and lighter than men. However, part of this is due to the fact that there is less cartilage between the bones of a woman's foot and her joints and ligaments are softer and more flexible. Also, a woman's heel is proportionally narrower than a man's. Boot manufacturers now compensate for this by either molding a tighter heel box, or adding additional stiff padding to hold the heel snugly in place to reduce sliding.

The effect of the increased flexibility of a woman's foot resulted in two design improvements in the women's boot. First, the more flexible woman's foot requires more support to withstand the continuous stress of hiking. This is generally accomplished by the addition of stiffer mid sole support, such as an insert. The insert is usually molded into the sole in order to retain the traction required for all types of terrain, yet remain flexible enough for a comfortable stride. The second, and possibly more important difference in the mid sole is the enhanced arch support in the woman's boot.

In general, a woman has a higher arch than a man, which needs additional support. However, due to the monthly changes in a woman's hormone levels, specifically estrogen, the arch of her foot actually decreases, since estrogen is a soft tissue relaxant. This relaxation of an already flexible foot causes the shape of a woman's foot to cycle between a relatively high arch and a flat foot. This fluctuation in the arch makes it critical for the mid sole of a woman's boot to have an enhanced (stiffer) arch support.

One manufacturer (Lowa) has taken the difference in foot structure a step further, since it also creates a difference in posture. A man's stance and stride is not as upright as a woman's so Lowa has designed a 2 degree offset into the ankle shaft of their mens hiking boots in order to provide a more balanced stance. Since women have a naturally more upright stance, this offset does not exist in the ankle design of their womens hiking boots.

Understanding the differences between mens hiking boots and womens hiking boots should make it much easier for you to select a proper fitting boot. Just because a womans foot is naturally smaller, do not assume that purchasing a smaller sized mans boot is the way to go. The best option is to try on hiking boots that are specifically designated as women's hiking boots. This immediately tells you that the manufacturer understands the differences between a man's foot and a woman's foot, and has designed their boots to address those differences.

Tips to Buy Men’s Designer Shoes

When it comes to footwear, everyone has their favorites. For women, it may be a comfortable pair of ballet flats or a stylish trendy pair of heels. For men, a worn pair of loafers could top the list or the most comfortable pair of hiking boots. If you have ever owned a pair of Designer Shoes, then most likely, these are your favorite.

When you're trying to find designer shoes online, you could have a difficult time, especially if you are trying to avoid the retail price from the company's website. This type of footwear come with a good sized price tag, but for very good reasons. They are simply a treat to wear and to look at. They are created with superb craftsmanship, artistic styling, but all with an attention to comfort that outdoes the competition. They are truly a unique, comfortable choice in stylish footwear. When you look at a pair from most designer's, you can see the intense quality, but when you put them on - you can feel it!

Opanka is the reason why. It's a hand sewn, unique technique that puts the upper, the sole lining, and the outsole together through a single process. This is what makes many lines of designer footwear comfortable, but also adds a cushioning effect while being flexible. The unique cushioning foam also helps to prevent heat and moisture buildup, which makes for less smelly, more comfortable feet.

So, if you're ready to find a great deal on designer footwear, here are some tips. Be careful where you make your purchase. There are knockoffs available for almost every designer product available and this includes shoes. If you don't purchase these from the company's website, then look for authorized dealer sites. You can also find them at some of the websites that deal only in designer products. If you choose to purchase from EBay or another similar auction site, use caution. Only buy from sellers with exceptional feedback and who have sold items for quite a while. Otherwise, you're likely to end up with a pair that is only a knockoff.

In closing, you can find designer shoes online, but you just have to use some caution. There is simply no comparison for their quality, comfort, and styling. You don't want to spend your hard earned money on a knockoff pair. When you find the real deal, you should get ready to have a new favorite pair in your wardrobe.

Tips to Recycle Men & Women’s Shoes

Please think twice when you throw your worn-out boots or shoes in the rubbish cabin. Somehow they have magically collected on the closet floor. Thoughts of being buried under shoes of all occasions, have drifted through your brain. Why is it so much easier to find a home for children's cast offs?

It seems there are always younger cousins or neighbors that are just the right size and would love to have a pair of almost new shoes. The speed at which children grow out of their shoes, makes second hand footwear a real bargain for the younger set. But how do you recycle women's and men's shoes? By the time adult shoes reach the throw away stage, most of them have walked through their share of snow and mud. They have also spent, many hours standing in wedding rehearsals, shooting baskets or walking waiting room floors. They are not in the best condition to be given a second chance.

So, what is next for these aging women's and men's shoes? Most cities have recycling bins. Old clothing, tennis shoes, slippers, heavy work boots and household goods are put in large bins. Then they are sorted. Unusable items are thrown away. Salvageable articles of clothing, shoes or household goods, are categorized and priced. Then they are marketed so that those less fortunate can pay a few dollars and receive clothing or shoes in wearable but not new condition. Recycling in this fashion, gives a second life to the clothing and shoes that would otherwise be thrown in the landfill.

In addition to recycling women's and men's shoes through second hand stores, there are other options. One of these would be through donation. There are several fairly new on-line companies that accept shoes in good condition. Many parts of the world do not have shoes for all of their people. Organizations have been created to bring the excess of one country to provide for the scarcity of another. These can be found by web search. There are organizations in Australia, UK, and US to name just a few.

Another type of recycling, is something that has been recently developed. Only a small segment of the population uses or is aware of recycling endeavors that grind shoes up, separates the parts and make others products of the pieces. This type of recycling can be used for all types women's and men's shoes, as well as children's shoes. Recycling is not a novel idea. In fact, taking products apart to make other products has been around for centuries. Some of the parts used from the rubber on athletic shoes are recycled and used for synthetic sports fields and indoor basket ball courts.

Short of destroying women's and men's shoes when they have that lived in look, recycling is the way to go. Giving the best ones to second hand stores, donating to world wide companies that distribute to areas of short supply, and using shoe material to make other products, are favorite ways to recycle worn out shoes.

The Different Boots Discussion

Boots are worn not only for functionality these days but also as a style statement. Due to the wide variety of the types available today, this footwear has become very popular around the world. They come in many different varieties from the traditional cowboy boots to the Gothic boots worn today by Gothic romantics everywhere. There are, of course, many kinds that are used due to their functionality but this has not stopped people from making them more fashionable to wear. In fact boots such as rain boots that are used when it rains to avoid getting our feet wet, come in a variety of styles and designs to suit every need.

But even if you only want to wear them as a fashion statement you have plenty of options. They are available for men, women and also for children. You can divide boots into many different categories and segregate them into many different genres. One way of dividing them is by their height. When it comes only up to or slightly above the ankle, it is called an ankle boot or "booty". These boots or "booties" can be worn with a wide range of clothes and they go particularly well with dresses and short skirts.

Another type of boot is the slouch boot. These get their names from the fact that the top portions of these boots slouch and appear to be falling down. They have become extremely popular these days and come in a wide variety of styles, designs and materials. They can be worn with all types of clothes but they go very well with pants that are snugly fitted all the way down or at least to the ankles. They can be found in a short or long style. The shorter version does not allow for any playing room but the longer type of slouch boot can be either worn folded down or not.

Doc Martins are also a popular variety of boots named after their inventor Dr. Maertens. They are distinct because of their air cushioned soles which are very comfortable. Engineer boots are also very popular and were used by motorcyclists in the 50's to protect their legs from the heat of the engine. They are usually around twelve inches high with a straight side and low heels, and can have leather strap buckles for a better fit.

Other types of boots are cowboy, Chelsea or Beatle, chukka, combat, desert, galoshes, hiking, jockey and many more boots. You can choose the one that suits you best depending on the weather, your needs and also of course the style statement you want to display.

The Future Trends Discussion in 2010

Staying up to date on fashion can be a full time job. With literally millions of fashion designers and brand names out there, it is almost impossible to forecast what will dominate the fashion world during the next several months. However, it is still possible to make educated guesses based on what we have seen during the early fashion shows in 2010. Since this is the first year of a new decade, what is popular this year may influence how the rest of the decade turns out from a fashion point of view.

In other words, 20 and 30 years from now, how will people look back at 2010 and this decade in terms of fashion? When people mention the 1970s or the 1980s, a certain type of fashion immediately comes to mind. The 2010s are unlikely to be any different. In terms of boots, we are of the opinion that the following 2 styles will make a dramatic impact:

1. Leopard Prints: With leopard and other animal print style boots, it is possible to act like a cougar as you wear your boots on the catwalk or as you party the town. You should make sure to pick a relevant outfit in order to make a great fashion statement and to keep the appearance young and fresh.

2. Bright Colors And Cutouts: There are lots of vibrant colors, in addition to turquoise, that you can mix up with different cutouts and shapes. We encourage you to try mixing and matching specific boot and clothing designs to find your own look.

While we do not yet know whether our prediction will hold true with regard to leopard prints, bright colors and equally bright cutouts, be on the lookout for these styles during 2010. Perhaps you will come across them more often than you think. The new fashion decade has just started, and no one knows exactly what it will bring.

Ankle Boots and Booties Difference Discussion

Whether you love them or hate them, ankle boots and booties seem to be a trend that is sticking around, at least for this year. Once a fashion outlier, the ankle boot and bootie have worked their way into mainstream fashion over the past couple of years. Once an odd looking runway trend, they've become a staple shoe of celebrities and even at stores like Target and Payless.

This year we'll see boots hit new highs and lows. They're migrating further and further up the calf, but they're also getting lower and lower on the calf and ankle. Now that they're just grazing the top of the foot, the designers are even getting more creative and starting to add different textures, cut outs and peep toes. It's a bit of a difficult trend to pull off, but if you know how to wear them, they'll compliment your figure and wardrobe. And yes, ankle boots and booties are two different styles. The terms seem to generally be used interchangeably, but in the fashion world they're clearly two separate trends.

Ankle boots could stop anywhere from 1 inch up from your ankle to 4 inches. Once they go past four inches they would be moving into the mid calf boot category. As with most shoes, black is definitely the most popular color in ankle boots.

Booties are more of a half boot, half shoe look. They stop either at the top of your foot or just at your ankle. Booties could also have a peep toe or cut out sections where the ankle boot is typically solid throughout. You're likely to find more colors in booties than the simple black ankle boot. Right now rich suede colors are popular.

Here are a few ideas for how to wear both of these styles:

1. Mini Skirt, Black Tights or Leggings & An Over Sized Loose Top

2. Short Dress & Tights

3. Skinny Jeans & Loose Fitting Shirt or Tank

4. Short Dress, Blouse & Cropped Blazer

5. Long Dress (think hippie or bohemian style), Long Necklaces & Suede Bootie

Avoid wearing a longer skirt or cropped pants with them since both will make your legs look shorter. If you have short legs, always wear the same color (usually black) tights or leggings as the shoe. It will extend the look of your legs. This can be a tough look to pull off, so spend some time looking at celeb photos and see what looks good and what doesn't before you try it yourself.
